After pulling up the turf and shaking of the excess dirt from the grass, laying down a thick layer of soaking wet newspaper, then a layer of soaking wet yard waste bags, then top soil, then compost, the boys soak the dirt to allow it to settle and also put up an edging fence to keep Ginger Pie out.
